Colour selection has always been a problem not just over the internet but even within design studios since every computer display renders colour slightly differently.

Where colour is of concern, you are best off to find the Pantone™ or other reference number for the colour of concern and provide that to the designer.

For process colour printing, always ask to inspect the colour key before any printing is done.

A colour key is a set of 4 acetate overlays (CMYK) that the printer uses for reference when printing a full colour job. A well done printing job should look identical to the colour key.
